Home Training Kit

The Jockey Club Keen and Active Kids Project will launch three home training kits called 'Parent-Child Keen and Active Treasure Bag' in the 2023-26 school year. Our educational psychologists and occupational therapists from the Department of Psychology of the University of Hong Kong have selected training materials suitable for parents or caregivers. They are designed with interesting training elements for students with ADHD.

The treasure bags encourage parents to work together with the program team and school staff to support the healthy development of the student. By providing a supportive environment for students with ADHD, parents or caregivers can help students to consolidate the skills they have learned in the group and apply them in their daily lives, thus boosting their self-confidence.

The treasure bags will be distributed in the Parent Workshop, so please keep an eye on our Instagram and Facebook for the latest arrangement.

To make learning fun and interactive, a series of characters have been created for this program, including primary and secondary school students with ADHD, their friends, their parents, school personnel, trainers. We have also visualised the functions of the brain and created the characters of “Capt. F” (Prefrontal cortex which takes part in rational thinking), “Dr. A” (Amygdala which takes part in emotion regulation) and “Mr. H” (Hippocampus which takes part in memory) to enhance student's understanding between the relationship of ADHD and the brain structures.
